On October 11, 1977, and after a meeting of the Second Region Command in Soran under the supervision of Kamal Kirkuki in the house of Bayz Abdullah in the village of Khorkhora, it was decided that the Peshmerga Forces would launch an attack on the Bangrd sub-district, for this purpose the Peshmerga force was divided into several smaller detachments, including the detachment of Haji Faqi Ismail which was composed of Peshmerga of the Jafayati region, the detachment of Salih Mulla Ahmad, the detachment of Haji Sheikh Hussein Lutar, and the detachment of Haji Muhammad Sufiani, in addition to a part of the Peshmerga of Kalala Shinkayati, and on the same night, that is on December 11, the Peshmerga detachments attacked the Bangrd sub-district and were able in a short period to control the police Headquarters and the center of the Ba'ath Party organization in the Bangrd sub-district, and even controlled the entire sub-district that night, and after the Peshmerga force achieved good gains, it withdrew the next morning and evacuated the sub-district, in this attack, each of Kuikha Pirut, Hama Sur Haji Rasul, and Hama Kaka-Sur from the Peshmerga force were wounded.
