The founding of the Kurdistan Democratic Party on August 16, 1946, is a date in the history and literature of the Party and is part of its memories. Every year, all members, supporters, and Peshmerga celebrate the anniversary of its founding with enthusiasm. There were many times when this occasion was commemorated in another way, where the Peshmerga would carry out guerrilla activities and attack the bases, strongholds, and military institutions of the Iraqi Army, causing them heavy losses.  

     One of these Peshmerga activities on the anniversary of that occasion was that the Peshmerga forces of Kurdistan designed a plan to carry out a guerrilla activity, which was to strike a blow at the Ba'athist agencies and military institutions. This Peshmerga activity was an attack on the Iraqi Army outposts on the Sayid Sadiq - Shanderi road. After the Peshmerga raided their strongholds and fought a major battle with them, they achieved what they intended and caused them heavy losses. The Peshmerga were unharmed, but after their return, they fell into an army ambush on the way. After resistance and a fierce battle, four Peshmerga were martyred, named (Commander Abubakr Haji Osman, Ali Rasul, Deputy Head of the District, Jalal Muhammad Dolasuri, and Shahab San Ahmad).

      It is worth mentioning that the Peshmerga, to continue the struggle and fight to obtain the rights of the people of Kurdistan, have always fought and carried out military activities with well-planned and designed schemes. They have been able to cause great damage to their enemy by raiding the strongholds, agencies, and military institutions of the Iraqi government. Even on occasions and anniversaries, they have not allowed the political situation of their enemy to be stable, but have dealt major blows and caused damage to it. Clearly, this was a message to the heads of the government that the revolution continues and that activities have been continued here and there in a guerrilla manner, causing damage to the interests of the government and the Ba'ath regime.
