Kurdistan, from Uprising towards Independence Referendum

This book is about the referendum and the uprising as two important events in which the people of Kurdistan participated, consisting of an introduction and two parts, and each part consists of several topics.

The first part of this book discusses the uprising of the people of Kurdistan and the positive consequences for the Kurdish cause and includes two topics regarding: the uprising and the diplomatic relationships of the Kurds, why did the uprising happen?, the brutal suppression of the uprising by the Saddam regime and the international reaction, the establishment of parliament, the declaration of federalism, the establishment of the first cabinet of the government, the historic Washington Agreement, the relationships between the Kurds and America and the Kurds and France after the uprising. The role of the Kurds in the process of liberating Iraq and the subsequent equations, the liberation of Iraq in 2003, the rights and position of the Kurds in the 2005 constitution, the Kurds within the Iraqi equation after the fall of the Ba'ath regime, the Presidency of the Region as a new achievement for the people of Kurdistan, diplomatic relationships after the establishment of the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region.

The second part is about the Kurdistan independence referendum and international applicable laws and the voice of the Kurds, and includes three topics dedicated to: preparations for holding the referendum and regional and international positions, the role of the Peshmerga in the war against ISIS under the leadership of President Barzani, referendum for independence?, preparations for holding the referendum, the position of Iraq and neighboring countries regarding holding the referendum, the position of the international community, the United States of America, the Russian Federation, Britain, France, Germany, and other countries and international and regional organizations. The philosophy of the referendum as an important factor for the sovereignty of Kurdistan, maintaining survival and integrity and strengthening the constitutional entities and institutions of the Kurdistan Region, the people of Kurdistan in the referendum regained their self-confidence to defend their national identity more. The role of President Barzani in initiating the independence referendum and his wise decision on holding the independence referendum, the role of President Barzani in uniting the ranks and reviving hope, yes President Barzani is the reference and leader, President Barzani is a school for peace and the philosophy of political dialogue, the message of President Barzani and the philosophy of national unity.
