Aras Hiso Mirxan was born in 1968 in the city of Sulaymaniyah. In 1993 he received a bachelor's degree, in 1996 a master's degree, and in 1998 a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Isfahan in the country of Iran. In 2009, he obtained a master's degree in management from the Lebanese-French University in Erbil. During the years (2000 - 2001) in the fourth cabinet, he was the General Director of Culture and Media of the Ministry of Peshmerga, and during the years (2002 - 2011) he was the General Director of the Board of Audit and Finance of the Kurdistan Regional Government. He is proficient in Kurdish, Persian, Turkish, and English languages.
Work History
Aras Hiso Mirxan, after the defeat of the September Revolution in 1975, migrated to Iran with his family. In 1982, he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Students Union, and in 1988 he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces and participated in the epic of Xwakurk.
In 1995, he became the commander of the Martyr Ali Hiso Battalion and was wounded in the defense battle of Qasre on the border of Erbil Governorate. In 1997, he was wounded for the second time in the battle for the defense of the Kurdistan Region in the Amedi area, which is part of the Duhok Governorate. In 2014, he participated in the war against ISIS forces on the Gwer-Makhmur front on the border of Erbil Governorate.
During his time working within the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, he held several duties and responsibilities. Such as the head of the University District Committee affiliated with the Political Bureau among the students (refugees of universities and institutes) in 1990, Deputy Head of the Peshmerga Organization Office (1998 - 2000), member of the office at the President's office (2000 - 2010), head of the sixteenth branch of the Erbil surroundings (2011 - 2017), head of the KDP Investment Board in 2020, etc...
He was a delegate to the eleventh (1993) and twelfth (1999) congresses, and in 2010 at the thirteenth congress he was elected as a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 2022, at the fourteenth congress, he was elected as a member of the central committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
