Martyr Jabar Omar Hassan Garawyi was born in 1967 in the village of Garawani Saru, Rawandiz district, Erbil province. He studied up to the primary level and was married.
In 1987, he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, in 1991 he participated in the uprising and participated in several battles and defense operations, and in 1996 he received the rank of Company Commander in the 62nd Brigade of the 6th Soran Army.
On August 20, 1997, at Zikhani in the village of Garawani Khwaru, within the borders of Rawandiz district, he was martyred by PKK militants, and his body was buried in the Garde Gardi cemetery in Rawandiz.
