Martyr Majid Hamed Amin Malik was born in 1967 in the village of Basekan, belonging to the Sidan district. He worked as a farmer and was married.
In 1991, he joined the organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 1995, he became a Peshmerga in the Sidan Army. He took part in all the battles defending the supremacy of law in the Balakayati and Sidan areas. On 22 June 1997, in the battle defending the supremacy of law in the Kuchey Hajar Mountain area of Sidan, he was martyred at the hands of PKK militants.
