Martyr Mewlud Selman Ehmed was born in 1946 in the town of Diyana, which is part of the Erbil Governorate; he worked in farming and was married.
In 1961, he joined the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Sheikh Kewkes Battalion and participated in the battles of Mount Hesen Beg, Hindirên, and Sertîz. In 1966, he was martyred in the battle of Gerûya Omer Axa.
