Martyr Salih Rasho Shamzin was born in 1951 in the village of Kani Rash in the Khwakurk area, affiliated with the Sidakan district, Soran Independent Administration. He was illiterate and married.
In the Year 1991, after the popular uprising of South Kurdistan, he joined the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 1995, he became a Peshmerga in the Sidakan Army. He participated in the wars of defending the rule of law in the Balakayati and Sidakan areas. On July 19, 1997, in Robi and Rwal Mountain, he was martyred in the war of defending the rule of law by the hands of PKK fighters.
