Martyr Salim Zahir Khalil was born in the Year 1976 in the village of Kakla, affiliated with the Mergasor district. In the Year 1997, in the border area of the Sidakan sub-district, he was martyred in a battle with PKK fighters.
Struggle recordMartyr Salim Zahir Khalil, in the Year 1992, by joining the Peshmerga Forces of Kurdistan, became a member of the organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party .
He was one of the young men who had an active participation in the process of establishing the rule of law and protecting the institutions of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and he tried to leave his mark in that historical stage of the civil struggle of the Kurd in their region. Salim Zahir's last mission was in the Sidakan border area, and he was martyred in one of the battles of the Year 1997 with PKK fighters that took place in Jutkê Spindara in Gali Rash.
