Martyr Tahsin Rashid was born in 1971 in Argosh village, belonging to the Sherwan Mazin subdistrict of Mergasor district in Erbil Governorate. He studied through intermediate school.
In 1991, he took part in the popular uprising of Kurdistan, joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party that same year, and became a Peshmerga in the Barzan Army. He took part in battles defending the rule of law and the Kurdistan Region.
On September 10, 1995, he was martyred in the Mzuri area by PKK militants, and his body was buried in Zulfqar Cemetery in the town of Harir.
